Share Your Knowledge and Experience

In Indigenous worldview, collaborative and community-based learning are of paramount importance. We create learning communities in our meetings and events, and invite you to share your knowledge and experience with us and with others. But we ask you to contribute your experience and wisdom to other projects as well.

Submit an original essay, poem, photograph, or piece of artwork for possible publication in the next issue of our newsletter, The LOOM. Information about what to submit, and how, may be found in the most recent issue.

Have you experienced wildfire? Share a story, photograph or some other record of your experience with us. With your written permission, we may publish it on our webpages or include it in the pamphlet and book we're preparing on ways of learning, knowing about, and responding to catastrophic forest fire.

Let us know about a resource that should be included in the Digital Library of Indigenous Science Resources or a possible funding source that can support the library's growth.

Special, one-time opportunities come up from time to time, too, depending on the research we're doing. For instance, last winter we put out a call for people with horse experience to complete a Horse-Human Relationship research survey. We publish notices about such chances to take part in things in our quarterly newsletter, The LOOM, and also send special emails to members when such opportunities come up.
