Tapestry Institute has two full-time staff members and one part-time staff member at the present time.
Joanne L. Belasco, Esq., Tapestry's President, received a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in Boston in 1993, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (1990) from Boston College. She worked as an attorney for the Boston Police Department for five years and was Editor-in-Chief of Law Enforcement Publications for Quinlan Publishing for 2 years. Belasco was Vice President of Tapestry from 2001-2007, and accepted the mantle of President in September of 2007. She also is Program Director for the Horse-Human Relationship Program.
Dawn Adams, Ph.D. (Choctaw) is Tapestry's Founder, Vision-Keeper, Senior Scientist and was its first President. She directs the DLISR Program and is Principle Investigator on Tapestry's National Science Foundation Grants. She holds a doctorate in vertebrate paleontology from the University of California, Berkeley (1989); and a Master's degree in Systematics and Ecology and a Bachelor's in Geology from the University of Kansas (1977 and 1974). She taught at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina from 1986 to 1989, and at Baylor University in Waco, Texas from 1989 to 1998, where she graduated three master's students.
Harrison John Adams is Tapestry's Researcher in Asian Studies. He majored in Asian Religions for his undergraduate degree and is currently working on his thesis for a master's degree in Religious Studies, specializing in Chinese religion. He studied and practiced Seon/Chan (Zen) Buddhism in South Korea, and his Chinese Buddhist name is Zhenru.
